From someone who has been a lifelong migraine suffer I can atest to how debilitating they really are All the days missed from work or enjoying the things you love to do there is no way to get that time back Why our government, such as it is, hasn't done something to limit the ability of Big Pharma to continue to poison us is a testament to the rot embedded in the agencies that are supposed to protect use So someone makes a other billion dollars and we continue to suffer Follow the money and vote for a better system

I was a lifelong Migraine sufferer from the time I was a sophomore in High School until I discovered the writings of Truth In Labeling Campaign and others, and started doing my own research. Now I'm a Migraine Survivor. I recently bought Linda and Bill Bonvie's book "A Consumer's Guide to Toxic Food Additives", and it would be a great beginner's guide to anyone that would like to be a Migraine Survivor instead of a Migraine Sufferer.

Besides MSG, I also get migraines from Annatto and tetrasodium pyrophosphate, (TSPP). Avoiding both of those plus MSG in foods is almost impossible. There are tons of things I can’t eat as they’ve added more of these ingredients, unnecessary ingredients I might add, to many foods. I have to check everything and 9 out 10 items I pick up in the store has at least one if not all of them. They’re trying to kill us.

Well, I do not suffer migraines. And I have also heard over the years that the MSG-migraine relationship is false. I do not trust the WHO one iota, so I don’t care what they say. I am however a big fan of the umami that MSG can provide in certain culinary applications with limited use. It does help give that extra oomph to a vinaigrette, homemade condiment, salsa or stir fry sauce without overloading them with even more salt and sugar to attain that umami character we cooks crave, which is essentially what you get with MSG in consolidated form.

A little goes a long way! If you aren’t food sensitive, try a pinch and try to resist it!
